The device uses this port to communicate with the footswitch, but it also allows for communication with other infrastructure elements and device control. This socket will allow the beam to be released without human intervention, making the process automatic. Connecting the PS/2 cable to the socket and “shorting” the cables corresponding to the pins below (6 and 5 – photo) of the connector on its other end will release the laser beam.
Additionally, due to the mobility of the head and the ease of its assembly and disassembly, we can adjust the device to our needs, mounting it on or above the production line, which will make it easier to adapt it to our needs.
